This important information is to inform our travel partners of special exception policies available for our mutual customers impacted by the discontinuation of codeshare service between American Airlines (AA) and Hainan Airlines (HU).

Special Travel Exceptions Considerations for the Suspension of Codeshare Service between AA and HU

Ticketed On/Before:

April 10, 2018

Effective for Travel On/After:

May 16, 2018 and beyond

Reissue Ticket On/Before:

Same day as flight rebooking*

*Note: if rebooking the customer results in an itinerary wholly on HU Prime flights, please contact American Reservations at 800-433-7300 to reissue the ticket

Inventory Requirements:

Rebook the AA*/HU flight onto the same Prime Flight in the same inventory as ticketed

If original inventory not available, rebook lowest available inventory, up to H inventory

Change to Origin/Destination:

Not allowed

Phone Field:

Ensure the customer’s telephone contact number is updated
