Australian Eastern Daylight Savings and New Zealand Daylight Savings concluded on Sunday 01 April 2018.

At 3am, clocks wound back 1 hour in New South Wales, Victoria, Tasmania and Australian Capital Territory and across New Zealand. There are no changes for Western Australia, Northern Territory or Queensland.

Tropical Cyclone Update

Further to our update on the 29 March 2018, Tropical Cyclone Iris re-formed overnight to be a category two system and continues to hover off the North Queensland coast.

Tropical Cyclone Iris is expected to continue moving slowly to the southeast, parallel to the Queensland coast, for the next two days while slowly intensifying. On Thursday the cyclone should slow down and begin to weaken. It may reverse direction and adopt a track to the northwest overnight Thursday or on Friday.

The cyclone is not expected to cross the Queensland coast in the short to medium term, but may approach the coast close enough to produce significant impacts.

At this stage, flights into and out of Hamilton Island have been disrupted.

All major highways are currently open.

We have checked our system for affected bookings and have contacted passengers to re-arrange itineraries where necessary.

We will continue to monitor the weather system and advise should the situation escalate.
