Dear Partner, As you may be aware from media reports, police conducted raids on a number of homes in Sydney last weekend due to the potential threat of a terrorism plot involving an aircraft. Four people are currently being held in custody. As a result of this, security measures at all major Australian airports have been increased considerably and some delays are being experienced by departing passengers due to additional security screening, bag checks etc. At time of writing it appears that Sydney’s T2 Domestic Terminal (Jetstar/Virgin/Tiger) is the worst affected. Finesse SPT policy for pre-booked private car transfers is pick-up 3 hours prior for an international departure and 2 hours for domestic. After consultation with our transfer operators, we feel this is sufficient timing at this stage. However will be monitoring the situation closely and contacting guests directly, if we consider it necessary to bring pick-up times forward. If possible we would suggest that guests departing for Australia over the next week, particularly those with no pre-arranged transfers, should be advised to expect delays on check-in at airports and plan accordingly.
