Dear friends and business partners Numerous meteorological sources in Vietnam have announced that a number of typhoons are expected to make landfall around Thanh Hoa and Quang Binh (Central Vietnam) this coming 25 – 26 July 2017. Sources on the ground in this region forecast that this may turn into local, tropical depressions with possible extreme precipitation. As of now, Asian Trails Vietnam, together with suppliers and tourism organizations, report only heavy rainfall in the region without major interference of its operation, with the exception of cancellation of some sightseeing tours. Cruise operators in Ha Long Bay have taken appropriate action in relation to possible severe weather conditions, citing that cancellation of cruise operations here may take effect once weather conditions worsen. This annually-returning phenomenon in Central and North Vietnam aligned with our applicable contingency plans Asian Trails Vietnam has in place to ensure continuously operating smoothly and putting our guest first. The safety and security of our customers in this part of Vietnam is and remains paramount. We continue to monitoring the situation and remain on standby, should any immediate action need to be taken. This includes staying in contact communication with local authorities, suppliers and our guests. Any essential changes in itineraries will be made on a case-by-case basis and we will make efforts to keep you appraised about these changes. Should any changes in the situation take place, we will keep you informed when needed. For any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us via vietnam@asiantrails.com.vn or contact your customer service representative in Asian Trails Vietnam directly.
