News from our hotel partners… CALIFORNIA - Hotel Bijou, San Francisco advises that the hotel is wrapping up on their renovation works taking place in their lobby from 9a - 3pm. They have removed their movie theater to replace it with a beautiful new restaurant. Works do not interfere with their guest check-in. The noise level is quite minimal and the restaurant opening is expected by early September 2017. www.hotelbijou.com/ FLORIDA - Crowne Plaza Orlando New Work-Li fe guestroom project - Starting Monday, July 17, 2017 we will initiate the project to provide three model guestrooms which will feature the new Crowne Plaza Work Life guestroom design. We will begin to demo only three rooms that will showcase this new prototype for our upcoming (2018) room renovation. We have selected all three rooms on a single floor and created a buffer zone around each room, to minimize any construction noise. The demo work will include tile and sink removals in all three rooms and the tub in two rooms. This is scheduled to take approximately 2 - 3 days (July 17 - July 20, 2017). Other work includes removing the old carpet and laying new carpet, all new furniture, appliances and amenities. The total room renovation for the three Show Rooms should be complete in approximately 2-3 weeks. Window Seal ing and Hotel Exterior Painting Project - We will begin the set-up of rigging on the building the last week of July with a projected start date of August 1st to start the window sealant process. The entire sealant and painting process will take approximately 4 months. A schedule will be provided after the first of August and we are creating a program that should minimize any disruption to guest. Crowne Bal lroom Beauti f ication - The Crowne ballroom and Pre-function space, plus the Executive Boardroom will be renovated July 23 - Sep. 22, 2017 with no disruption to the guest sleeping rooms or public space. This area is located in the conference center area and not attached to any sleeping rooms.
