Vietnam: Official closure of the Notre Dame Cathedral Saigon for Renovations from 4th July
Dear valued partners, We would like to inform you that since July 4th, barriers have been erected around Notre Dame Cathedral Saigon signaling the commencement of the $4.4-million renovation project. It is expected that the renovations will be completed by the end of 2019 or early 2020 at the latest. This project is the first major restoration since the opening of the Cathedral back in 1880. Please note, that during this time, all sightseeing tours at the Cathedral will be temporarily halted in order to facilitate the construction works as well as for the safety of tourists. As a result, guests can only see the church and take pictures from the outside the cordoned area. (See here for the photo update) We remain available for any questions you may have and will keep you informed regarding any updates. Best regards,
