We have just received un update from Hamilton Island, one month since the events of Tropical Cyclone Debbie. Here is an update from Hamilton Island on how the Island is progressing:

Accommodation:

Palm Bungalows – operating at reduced capacity, expected be operating at full occupancy by the mid June 2017.

Reef View Hotel – operating at reduced capacity, expected return to full occupancy by the end of May 2017.

Beach Club – currently operating at full capacity.

Hamilton Island Holiday Homes – properties that are not affected/damages are now taking bookings on a request basis.

Any affected bookings have been contacted and provided with alternative accommodation options.

Please remember that we can no longer take specific property requests. Accommodation is allocated by ‘category only’.

qualia – currently closed, taking new bookings for travel from 1 July onwards.

qualia Guest Services – has now resumed and enquiries are being handled by the resort.

qualia activities – the resort will be taking bookings for activities. Please note, some schedules may not be available until closer to travel times, such as Explore Dive excursions.

Tours and activities:

Explore Hamilton Island – are operating revised schedule of the tours, please contact us for operating schedules and please note that these are subject to changes.

Diving – Explore have resumed some limited diving tours.

Packages - the resort currently cannot accept Hamilton Island Explore Dive Packages and will update you once we can resume booking these packages.

Wildlife Hamilton Island – approximate re-open dates, 1 July 2017.

Cruise Whitsundays – are operating revised schedules of tours, please contact us for Cruise Whitsundays operating schedules.

Reefworld Pontoon – Great Barrier Reef Day Tours – we have been advised that Reef World will be back in operations from 22 May 2017.

Packages - Best of Whitsundays and Great Barrier Reef Adventure packages - we will update you once the resort can resume booking these packages.

Spa Wumurdaylin – Currently operating from the Reef View Hotel, estimate reopen of the Spa facility, 1 July 2017.

Hamilton Island Golf Club – has reopened, The Clubhouse Restaurant will be re opening for lunch from Saturday 13th May 2017.

Restaurants:

Coca chu – will continue to operate its menu out of Outrigger until further notice.

Romanos – approximate reopening 1 June 2017

Mariners – approximate reopening 1 June 2017

All other restaurants are operating as per usual.
